Annette & Matt - Wedding at Omni Puerto Aventuras, Riviera Maya Mexico
Tuesday, May 6, 2008, 05:27 PM - I do, I do
Annette & Matt were one of those cute couples, young age and so much in love., I had the opportunity to be with them at the wedding day & for a TTD session the next day.
This location in the Omni Puerto Aventuras, we have done some weddings there, it's a small venue, for intimate celebrations.
I LOVE LOVE this photo, this is mom & grandma.. sitting next to the wedding dress, I can only imagine the feelings in their hearts, their baby girl, is now a woman about to be a bride and start a new family
Annette sow a heart with the new family name inside the wedding dress, this is Matt's face when discovering it...
Groomsmen didn't catch the garner, it went straight to the swimming pool, so they dove to get it!, how about that!!
Last photo of the night, I used some color gels to paint with color this passionate moment.

And this are some of the Trash the Dress session the next day:

I see MAGIC!!! Paul & Rachel found each other
Saturday, May 3, 2008, 10:54 AM - Engagement
I first meet Paul around 3 years ago, we both were starting documenting weddings, me as a photographer & he as a videographer ., he was one of the first persons to hear my story: "I just meet a "guero" and to see my excitement when I found love.
He was a solitary guy, until a few months ago, when he shared the news: He has a girlfriend!!, she's moving to Mexico! and some weeks later... we are engaged!!
Matt and I couldn't be happier for our friend, he found love and grab it as hard as he could.
Rachel is super cool, a very unique personality complementing Paul's.. , sometimes I think they are a little weird and crazy, which makes me like them even more...
I wanted to shoot some photos, so I volunteer to this session.
Love is pretty obvious, I see magic!!!... they found each other and it's the best thing in the whole world!.
Their story is not as recent as I though it was, later I learned that they had meet and work together in the past., Rachel is a hopeless romantic and when she shared the story on how she had dreamed about Paul even before meeting him, brought tears to my eyes... I believe in love and I believe in finding a soulmate.
She wrote the whole story in the coolest website I ever seen, check it out: Rachel's wedding invitation-website
They are getting married tomorrow!!!!
I see MAGIC! and I LOVE it!!
Images from their wedding coming soon!

Friday, May 2, 2008, 05:28 PM - Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa
Tiffany & Brian, were one of the greatest couples I have photographed , so easy going and so happy, you can see Tiffany's huge smile all the time.
They chose Kantenah Palladium for the wedding, this resort has one of the nicest beach & wedding coordinators (Very important!!) in the Riviera Maya.
Here are few of the day:
Tiffany was excited to see me.. I felt like a celebrity!... haha... I LOVE when after months of correspondence "The day" finaly is here... and I can see the beautiful bride in person.. such an honor for me!
Tiffany order Brian's ring with the inscription "best friend", definitively a great foundation for marriage
Brian showed up to Tiffany's room before ceremony., check out the slideshow to see those pics
I had to put on "hold" Tiffany's spontaneous smile to get this sexy expression
Read the words on this program, this is the most beautiful thank you words for the parents I ever seen in a wedding coming from bride & groom

Sunday, April 13, 2008, 10:09 PM - ME
Life is keeping us very busy, traveling from Mexico to the US.,
Last week I traveled to Alabama, to "express furnish" a new place we just got in Lake Martin, a beautiful beautiful place 2 hours from Atlanta, this is where Matt's parents Toni & Phil live. I was there for 3 days
The view of my beautiful country from the air
And my love waiting for me at the pier!! (I flew to Cozumel)
When we are together and aren't shooting a wedding, we are exploring around..., we enjoy swimming in cenotes a lot!, there are so many breathtaking places, like underwater gardens..
Matt loves to dive very deep, this is the closest feeling to fly,is just awesome!
A few weeks ago, while driving around, looking for new places to shoot TTD sessions, we ran into this parade, it was awesome!, this cute little kids were dancing like pros.. so much fun!, I always have my little point and shoot..
Can you tell we are having fun??
Married life is great!! and we are in paradise! come to hang out!!

Sunday, April 13, 2008, 08:51 PM - Hotel Riu Palace, Riviera Maya
I Love couples with great sense of humor!., Dana & Alex wedding was very intense... some tears of emotion at ceremony , so much fun during portraits, and more tears and sincere hugs during toasts, the cherry on top was the cutting the cake time... just look at these photos and enjoy with them!!
These are the guys, making sure they look awesome for pictures.
Alex, very formal and elegant on his white attire
Meanwhile Dana was having some trouble figuring out how to put the veil on, she and her friends where having such a great time!
Ready to go!
It's always funny to shoot this "uninvited guests" sneaking in to take a picture...
They wanted to get in the water!!... so we did! I was with the water up to my waist..., laughing so much thinking on my white see-trough slacks...
Out the water, but my slacks stick to my legs... hilarious!
Tears during the speech, they were talking about how they were really meant to be together, it's such a great gift to find your soulmate...
Bride, Groom & wedding party, everybody got a "taste of the cake" real well.... they had a Blast!...
There's more of this love story, as usual there is a slideshow that you can view, CLICK HERE!

12.20.07 Melanie & Marc, wedding and Trash the Dress in Punta Cana
Wednesday, March 12, 2008, 11:00 AM - Trash the Dress
December 2007, and our last couple of the year!
Matt and I packed our bags, and got ready for the adventure in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Melanie & Marc decided on that destination for their wedding and we couldn't be happier to be invited to document the experience.
Punta Cana is a little beautiful island on the Caribbean, and we were super excited to be there.
When we go on destination weddings, there's all kind of adventures, for this one, Matt forgot his cloths... (haha..) he packed white slacks that were mine thinking were his.., and no shirts at all... , so we had to go shopping...
The groom, Marc is a photographer from Canada, and Melanie his fiance is a photography lover, it was really great to hang out with them, on wedding day and on the next day when we went on another adventure for the trash the dress session.
Obviously there are tons of great photos, it was hard to choose what to post, so here are a few.
Please look at the Wedding Slideshow to see more photos
I love to photograph the bride, I think a woman on her wedding day is the most radiant creature on the world!, Melanie was super photogenic, and sexy!!!
When people ask me what's my favorite part of a wedding day, I have to say, besides the getting ready & the portraits, I LOVE ceremonies... sometimes it's hard to be focus and stay "out" in order to perform and get the photo..., as I easily get caught in the emotion, ceremony, it's a powerful moment, specially when the couple is very sensitive and you can see the emotions, tears, laughs... etc... that is priceless
Melanie choose bright happy colors for the wedding, combined with the blue turquoise of the water was amazing
NEXT DAY!!!! We are all ready for the Trash the Dress adventure., We went to a really neat location, that is up in the mountains, "Alto Chavon", this place looked like an old european little town, after that we headed to the beach to get in the water with the sunset., a perfect day, amazing moments!!
The next four AMAZING photos are from Matt's camera
Matt shoot this image of me in the water getting this cool photos
The sun is gone, and I'm totally wet, in the ocean, with little fish trying mexican food bitting my legs, but with the biggest smile in my face, Melanie & Marc will get great photos and Matt and I have new frieds... and we had a great adventure in Punta Cana!!
Can't wait for the next one!!!... stay tuned... more to come....

Trash the Dress or Wash the Dress??
Wednesday, March 5, 2008, 08:15 PM - Trash the Dress
A couple of weeks ago, Del Sol Team + Playa Weddings video went on adventure to document a "Trash the dress photoshoot" in a new cool place we found.
We had tons of fun, and at the end, the groom said, this should be called "Wash the Dress", as the dress came out clean, after swimming in this crystal clear waters..
Anyway, Matt was the "Official Director" he had this vision on what he wanted to do, and it turned out super cool!!!
Special thanks to Paul who film this adventure!
I'm posting just a few images, you need to watch the video, please click on the following link Del Sol Photography TTD Video here!!!
This kind of sessions are the perfect way to end a Destination Wedding Adventure!!!
