South Seas Island Resort, Captivia Island: 07.08.08 Diane and William Trash the Dress!
Sunday, August 26, 2007, 12:13 PM - Trash the Dress, I do, I do
Diane & William got married the day before, a lucky date 07-07-07 . They are a wonderful couple and were so excited about having more photos the next day that they didn't care about waking up early in the morning to get dressed again, and ready for the fun!.
We are at Captiva Island, at the South Seas Resort , the day is gorgeous! and we are heading out to take some photos .
The session started at the golf course, a couple of photos there, and then we headed to the beach...., I was still warming up, thinking that I will get some photos at the beach shore, some romantic stuff, and then possible getting in the water. Diane was wearing her beautiful wedding dress, and I wasn't sure that she will actually get in to the ocean..(some brides are very worried about actually trashing the dress)
Well, before I could even suggested, she was in, all the way, diving!, and all I could do was to follow the action and get in the water my self...
Any photographer will know that this is a very risky thing to do, specially when you are using a fish eye and have to be really really close to the moving subject and in the ocean..
I was very lucky to have my photographer friend Nina Sutherland helping me out that day, holding my stuff and being my "movil off camera flash"
This kind of amazing couples, and the opportunity to shoot fun images that are a celebration for the marriage, is the biggest reward of being a wedding photographer., I can't wait for my next one!
Much Love for Diane and William!!!

07.02.07 Katie & Mike
Monday, July 30, 2007, 04:37 PM - Trash the Dress
I'm back from Vacation, and with some great images to post from a wedding I had in St. John on July 2.
Katie & Mike were initially thining on having their wedding at the Mayan Riviera, but later on they changed their mind and decide to stay in US Territory, St. John seemed to be the perfect spot for them, and it was a wonderful location!
St. John is in the US Virgin Islands, you fly to St. Thomas, then a ferry takes you to this particular place. It's hills everywhere!, from a girl use to walk in flat land, this was quite a change!, driving is on the opposite side, and zig zag roads take you to discover unique places, like ruins, and cristal clear turquoise beaches everywhere!.. so beautiful!
This wedding was very intimate, just parents and 8 or 9 more guest. They rented a Villa on top of the hill Villa Waterfall, and I get my own room in the house with the family.
Wedding was schedule to be in the morning, with a lunch reception, after that, we were free to go and have fun!, trash the dress!!!!, yeay!!!!!!!
Here are some of my favorite images, you can see more opening a SLIDESHOW, click here!!!
The day before the wedding, we had a engagement photoshoot, this was great!, as we had the chance to find this cool ruins, and get a sunset!... To open a slideshow with more images, CLICK HERE!!!!

Villa Sol y Luna, Riviera Maya: 05.19.07 Alexandra & Bard's wedding
Saturday, June 30, 2007, 10:06 AM - Trash the Dress, I do, I do, Villa Sol y Luna
Location: Villa Sol y Luna
One of the coolest things on being a destination wedding photographer, is the opportunity that couples give to us to witness one of the most important days, not only for the couple getting married, but for the two families that come together with that bond.
Alex and Bard was one of those great wedding celebrations, Alex's family came all the way from Chile, the last country on america, Bard's family, came for different states from the US. They had a very unique group of people that had a blast together., everybody was talking to each other and dancing!, great dancers in this party!!!
It's was a great pleasure and so much fun for me to be there!

Hotel Riu Palace, Riviera Maya: 05.17.07 Lisa & Aaron's Wedding
Friday, June 22, 2007, 01:55 PM - Trash the Dress, I do, Hotel Riu Palace, Riviera Maya, I do
Wedding Location: Riu Palace Riviera Maya
Lisa & Aaron, all the way from Canada decided on having a destination wedding in Mexico., Aaron family is Mexican, so this wedding was the fusion of two cultures.
Riu Palace Riviera has a nice "Mexican Style" gazebo, a kiosko, called "La Plaza" it was the perfect location to add the mexican flavor to the ceremony.
After the wedding and dinner, Lisa decided she wanted to "trash the dress"... It was very dark when they jumped in the pool. I used my off camera flash, with a hand made snoot to be able to take this shoots...
The perfect ending for the perfect day....

This is Aaron writing some love words for his bride to be...
My second shooter Vincent took this photo of Lisa deciding if wear a Flower o not..
Both Dad's one taking a video of Aaron posing for my camera, the other Dad, holding Lisa & Aaron's baby boy
This kid was an artist, and was showing his piano talents...
The "queen" of the day... Lisa walking with his dad and baby to meet Aaron
"La Plaza" , in Mexico we call Kiosko to this kind of gazebos, and there's a tradition on weekends to go and listen to local music bands to "La Plaza"... very nice...
Tequila!!!!!
A little too strong... haha...
Isin't this just the perfect ending????...
